The Alberta Family Wellness Initiative created a short video clip, called “How Brains Are Built”, which presents brain development
through an engaging animation. As future teachers, it is important that we recognize
that each child develops at his or her own rate, and that each child comes from a very
unique background. Recognizing that each child is an individual with
backgrounds, developmental capabilities, and personalities unique to them will
make us better teachers.
